What is Glycerin?
Glycerin is a natural by-product of the soap making process. In other words, when you make soap, you automatically get glycerin. Many commercial soap manufactures remove the glycerin to create other products such as moisturizing lotions because it is more profitable. Essence of O leaves the glycerin to nurture your skin.
Why should you use Glycerin soap?
Glycerin is a humectant, which means it attracts moisture to your skin. This extra moisture tends to soften the skin. Some say that Glycerin soap prevents premature aging of the skin. Glycerin soap is gentler on the skin than other soaps. This makes it a good choice for people who have dry or sensitive skin.
Is Glycerin soap hypoallergenic?
Yes and No. Yes: because Glycerin soap is less likely to cause allergies in most people. No: because some Glycerin soap contain additives, such as fragrance, which can cause irritation in some people. Because additives differ from soap to soap, some people might be allergic to one soap but not the other. We make a cold process: No Essence, No Color soap with Oatmeal that is amazing and because it has no additives, other than oatmeal it is a pretty safe bet for people who are allergic to some fragrances. We recommend testing the soap on a small part of your arm and see if it causes any irritation before using it all over.
What is “European Olive Oil” soap?
European Olive Oil soap is our hand made cold process soap. This is the old way of making soap and was made popular in Europe. Our cold process soap is made with 40% olive oil, which makes it richer and a more moisturizing bar.
What is “Solid Lotion Massage Bar”?
It is a lotion in a solid form. Imagine, using your favorite lotion to massage your body. That’s what our massage bar does. The amazing part is that it does not stain your cloths or bed sheets at night. It is made with Coconut butter, Mango butter, Vitamin E and natural bees wax. They are great for dry feet, knees, elbows. These massage bars are not to be used in the shower. Do not use with water.
How can I make my soap last longer?
Keep it in a well drained soap dish. Our soaps last about 3 weeks.
